What's New in the 2007 Edition

CAB International is committed to updating the Animal Health and Production Compendium each year, as part of a rolling programme. We welcome suggestions for future updating and improvement: please contact us.

The 2007 Edition has been comprehensively updated from the 2006 Edition with:

Improvements to functionality and interface:

1. Implementation of a metadata storage system to maintain and control AHPC Library items

Metadata from all documents already present in the Compendium have been input into the system (460 items). An additional 150 items have been added as part of the Food Safety and Quality Enhancement of the AHPC initiated in this Edition of the Compendium. The new system links library items to datasheets and improves both retrieval and display of metadata for every item in the archive.

2. Three new datasheet types added to the Product:

  • Food product type datasheets
  • Microbial pathogen datasheets
  • Contaminant class datasheets

(see below for classified lists of new datasheets)

3. Implementation of separate interface options for accessing Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) data.

A separate interface/portal has been implemented in the product for accessing FSQ data.

New datasheets:

The following 38 new, full datasheets:
