Home page

The main menu and search facility on the Home page of the Aquaculture Compendium enables you to explore the wealth of information available in the Compendium.

The top right (beige / yellow) menu is a link to the main features of the Compendium:

• Home: refreshes the screen displayed to take you back to the Home page
• Search: takes you to a page from where you can choose a search (see below)
• Statistics: use this option to display various statistics and charts
• Library: takes you to the Library search interface enabling searching for documents on production, health, etc.
• Notepad: use the Notepad feature as a store for your own personal records
• Glossary: use this option to search the glossary of definitions
• Log Off: logs you out of the subscriber area of the Compendium

These buttons are found on the right of the page:

• Advanced Search: use this option to search all text-based content (datasheets, glossary, bibliography, library and drugs data)
• Find a Datasheet: use this search to find information on a particular cultured species, disease, disease country, issue, etc.
• Drug Search: use this option to search for information on drugs and vaccines by active ingredients or trade names across a selection of databases
• Library: use this option to search the library collection of electronic documents for information on production, health, etc.
• Notepad: use the Notepad feature as a store for your own personal records
• Glossary: use this option to search in the glossary of definitions
• Statistics: use this option to display various statistics and charts

The following options are available on the left of the page:

• Help/Getting Started: an overview of how to use the Compendium
• About CABI: information about CAB International, and contact details
• Development Consortium: a list of the organizations that resourced the project to compile the Compendium
• About the Project: links to important information about the data in the Compendium and caveats regarding interpretation, list of Contributors, Production Team, Copyright, Disclaimer etc.
• Fair Use: statement on use of Compendium content for varying purposes
• Support & Feedback: contact details for feedback
• How to Order: takes you to the promotional page, containing information on how to order the Compendium

Away from the Home page, these options are available on the bottom of each page:

• Copyright: statement regarding copyright
• Fair Use: statement on use of Compendium content for varying purposes
• Disclaimer: caveats on data
• Support/Feedback: contact details for support and feedback
• Contact Us: email your comments to us
