Searching the Glossary
Search over 36,000 definitions from the Aquaculture Compendium's glossary database.
Terms are currently taken from Saunders Comprehensive Veterinary Dictionary; we
hope to add the content of a specialist fisheries glossary in future releases.
To search, simply type all or part of the term in the Search box. Select whether
you want to search for defined terms that begin with, contain, or exactly match
what you have typed. Choose which dictionary to search in, and how many records
to display per page. Click on Search. A list of definitions will appear in the
screen below.
The highlighted term on the list is defined at the right. Click on a different term from the matching list, and the screen will refresh to display that definition.
Softlink: If you wish to look at the definition of one of the words included in your definition to help you understand its meaning, simply highlight the word and click the Softlink button (in the Menu bar). The definition will appear in a new window.
