What's New in the 2007 Edition

The 2007 edition of the CPC has been updated from the 2006 edition to include:

• 26 new full datasheets on pests and crops, making the total number more than 2410

• many datasheets have been revised and updated, including the taxonomy and hosts for more than 100 fungi

• Over 100 new pictures

• 2 new documents of pest datasheets in Spanish, Guía Práctica de Plagas y Enfermedades de Arboles Agrícolas en Bolivia and Hojas volantes – Nicaragua

• more than 40 book chapters on Horticulture extracted from CABI books

• new library documents from the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC)

The 2007 edition also includes:

• Data from CABI/EPPO Distribution Maps of Plant Pests and Plant Diseases, 2006 and 2007

• Archives of the EPPO Reporting Service from April to December 2006 to January to March 2007 with hyperlinks from the pest distribution lists

• Updated addresses of the National Plant Protection Services by country, provided by the Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

• Update of FAOSTAT Crop Production and Land Use data from Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (datasets taken April 2007)

• Updated data on pesticides from the e-Pesticide Manual version 4.0 (2006), published by BCPC

• Updated economic/demographics data from the World Development Indicators database of the World Bank (dataset taken April 2007)

• New bibliographic records from the CAB Abstracts database
